I have been looking for a nice umbrella to turn into a parasol! I found one today- as much as I love the periodness of my black veil I do get sick of the cousin it jokes I get when wearing it.
So I removed the orginal canopy replaced it with muslin and have started paintin my device on it! I love it so far the canopy is so big! It will be perfect!
Ooh, how fun! I've had a parasol on my to-do list but couldn't get the guts up to try it. I really love the shape of the one in "Festa in Maschera" though http://www.margaretroedesigns.com/parasolhist.html and the descriptions of red parasols with green fringe just make me happy. A fringed parasol would be such fun. I settled for buying a Bella Umbrella as one of my personal rewards for finishing the contest. I may still need to add fringe down the line. For "authenticity." Sure, that's the reason.
